I didn't wake up one day and decide to become a wedding photographer, my work chose me.
Moving from Brazil to Maui—via Los Angeles—was the first step. It’s impossible not to feel inspired here, by the people, palm trees, ocean, surfing and the island’s natural beauty.
These are the things that made me pick up a camera and start shooting back in 2009. Since then, I have discovered that there is no other subject to photograph quite like love.
With my beard, tattoos and love of longboard surfing, perhaps I’m not the first thing you imagined when you thought of a wedding photographer. That’s good, because my approach is different. I will make your shoot a unique experience and I want my pictures to reflect me: memorable, modern and fun.
I like to capture moments as they happen naturally—unposed, intimate and above all, real. These moments are a timeline, showing your day as it unfolded and they will transport you right back to your wedding when you look at your pictures in a year, 10 years, 25 years from now.
Images of love are not just limited to weddings and I also take pictures of families, honeymooners, vow renewals and more, using the same relaxed and photojournalistic style.
On a personal level, it gives me so much satisfaction to be creative in such a positive way for people. My work allows me to deliver happiness and what could be better than that?!
When I’m not photographing weddings and family groups, you can find me at the beach with my life partner, Annie, our daughter Isabella and our two dogs Boy and Nala.
Please get in touch with any questions you may have. Until then, aloha and good luck with your plans. I look forward to hearing from you!
