Thank you for visiting my blog and a big thank you to Kimberlee and Bradley, who recently hired me to photograph their beautiful beachfront wedding at Sugar Beach, Kihei.
The groom got in touch with me about a month before the wedding and we chatted about the upcoming ceremony and my style of photography. When couples come to Maui to tie the knot, I think it’s great to meet with them to talk in person but I know how hectic wedding planning and traveling can be, so I am always free for a phone conversation too (contact details here). Whatever makes things easier and smoother for the bride and groom!
The happy couple and their friends and family came to Maui all the way from Alaska and it was such an awesome wedding at Kealia Resort in Kihei, South Maui.
I was taking pictures from 10AM until 1PM, which gave me plenty of time to capture the pre-wedding preparation of the bride, her bridesmaids, the groom and his groomsmen, plus the small yet very important details such as the wedding bouquets, the weddings rings, the bridesmaids’ dresses and of course the wedding dress!
The resort’s gardens were great, with amazing trees and lots of greenery for the outside shots, family photos and the wedding ceremony itself. Kealia Resort is also right on Sugar Beach—it's a huge beach, six miles long, framed by palm trees and with gorgeous white sand. As a photographer, I couldn't have asked for a better spot for shooting memorable Maui bride and groom portraits. I feel so lucky to do what I do in such a beautiful place!
Thank you once again to Kimberlee and Bradley and the entire Alaska crew. I had a blast working with you guys and I hope you come back to visit Maui again soon. Enjoy the pictures. Here are some of my favorites!
Until next time, Rodrigo
