Thanks for visiting my blog!
I recently had the opportunity to photograph this fantastic couple on Maui and the first thing that comes to mind when I think about our shoot is how much fun we all had.
“Slaughterhouse Beach,” otherwise known as Mokule’ia Beach is a beautiful little bay, just a short drive north of Kapalua in West Maui. It is part of the same marine preserve as Honolua Bay.
It’s a perfect place to shoot weddings, couples, family portraits and just about anything; it never gets crowded, the sand is golden and the beach is framed by dark, dramatic cliffs that contrast really nicely with the blues of the sky and ocean. It often rains in that area and the light cast onto the beach during cloudy sunsets is pretty special.
I think that natural and relaxed poses always looks best and Jenae and Justin were pros in front of the camera. I love the ukulele shots because they both look so happy and genuine. I also think that the color of Jenae’s outfit looks awesome in this dusky light.
