I was so happy that Kate and Josh chose Rodrigo Moraes Photography to shoot their special day on Maui.
One of the many things I love about my job is getting to meet so many cool people from all over the world and it was a lot of fun spending some time with Kate—who is from Canada and Josh—from Australia. Not to mention the rest of their wedding party, who traveled from far and wide to reach this tiny island in the Pacific Ocean. Everyone seemed super stoked to be in Hawaii, which is exactly how I feel most of the time!
The day started off at the boys’ room, shooting Josh and the groomsman. As you can see in the pictures, I love to capture some of the smaller details of the big day, such as Josh’s cufflinks and shoes. These are the little things that often go unnoticed, but make for a great timeline of the wedding day when you look back at the images in years to come.
From there I headed to see the ladies and took some beautiful shots of Kate, as she was getting ready. Everyone looked amazing and had huge smiles in their faces as we left for the church wedding in Kapalua.
What a ceremony it was, so much happiness and love! The lighting inside the church was stunning and the connection between Kate and Josh made for incredible photographs!
Also, the beach shots couldn’t have been better. Just the three of us on an amazing beach in Kapalua, with endless blue skies and ocean!
It was a beautiful and moving wedding here on Maui. Congrats Kate and Josh!
